What is Poseidon?
Poseidon is an email client, programmed in Delphi, with 3 main functions that can be combined togheter:
- Bulk emailing / email marketing (spammer): send easily a big number of emails to many addresses at once. Receiver addresses can be entered manually or loaded from an emails list. For example, if you have a text file containing 100 email addresses, you just need a few clicks to load the list in Poseidon.
- Anonymous mailer (spoofer): Poseidon gives you the option to send emails with a different, custom sender's address rather than the real one. The custom address can be a non-existing one or also an address which already exists. If you want you can also specify the sender's name, in addition to its email address.
- Email flooder: send repeatedly many email messages with an high frequency. The maximum frequency depends on the available connection speed, on a medium bandwidth it can be higher than 1 message per second, on faster connections it can be higher than 5-10 messages per second.
What do I need to have to use Poseidon?
Just a computer with Windows, and a SMTP server used to relay email; obviously you don't have necessarely to own a SMTP server, but you can use many free ones (Hotmail, Gmail etc.).
The faster your connection is, the better Poseidon will work exspecially when sending many emails in an high frequency. It is also recommended to use a good SMTP server: some of them have a limit of emails that can be sent per day by same email address.
Poseidon client is programmed to be independent and doesn't require external dependencies.
Main features:
- HTML support: you can choose to write plain text emails, or write them in HTML. You can also paste all the html code from webpages / files.
- Saving / loading of mail lists: you can load many email addresses at once into Poseidon without the need to type each one manually. Few clicks and you can load them from a text file containing the list (supported format example: "mail_1@provider.com; mail_2@provider.com; mail_3@provider.com"). In the same way, you can save the Poseidon targets list in a mail list file.
- Automatic saving of settings: your settings are automatically saved in a .ini file when you close the client, so you don't have to input same settings again when you reopen the application.
Licence and use
Poseidon is a private software. You can buy it or ask any further information sending an email at the author's address: viotto24@hotmail.it. The user detains every responsibility that comes from its use, legal or illegal, and the author of the software (Viotto) has no responsibility of user's actions! You have to accept these conditions when using the software.
